Educators Earn Credits at School Gardening Conference

By Jerry Louis, Master Gardener School Gardens chair

Salary advancement credits are available for attendees of the 11th Annual Gardening with Class School Garden & Nutrition Conference to be held at Del Mar Fairgrounds on April 24, 2010.  One unit (quarter) of graduate credit will be available through University of California, San Diego, Extension.

This popular conference, co-sponsored by the Master Gardener Association of San Diego County, University of California Cooperative Extension, and the Del Mar Fairgrounds, is designed for educators, school garden coordinators and others interested in developing or enhancing a school garden program.

Since class size is limited, attendees are encouraged to register as soon as possible in order to guarantee course selections.
For a registration fee of $50, attendees will receive a continental breakfast, lunch, unique garden gifts, educational resources, complimentary parking pass and an opportunity to participate in a drawing.

Visit www.mastergardenerssandiego.org  and click on School Program for more detailed information.
